Ailments/curses/disables: Kleptomaniac - the condition of uncontrollable need to steal things, especially things of value or possible things. Rainn's particular weakness would be shiny or interesting things.

His hair is slicked up in a traditional Morrowind fashion aka Mohawk. He sometimes will wear a bandanna around his hairline or a scarf around his neck. He has a few ear rings and might pierce his body randomly. He has a red face tattoo. Also, fresh to death.

Skills:
Destruction Magic - Coupled with his naturally racial advantage in the field, Rainn has been thought to be a prodigy in the field and studied even more into it during his time with the Synod. He doesn't necessarily focus on any single branch of destruction and has been known to use ice, fire and lightning spells.
Illusion Magic - Being required to declare a major focus and a secondary focus while at the Synod, Rainn chose the Illusion school. He doesn't feel extremely comfortable with using spells that manipulate personal choices of people, so, although he can use spells such as fear and pacify, he prefers not to. His current spells of choice include muffle and clairvoyance.
Stealthiness - Although not a master in the field, if Rainn doesn't want to be seen, he usually won't be seen. At times, it has been necessary to develop this skills, and at other times, it's been out of curiosity and greed.
Pickpocket - After the Synod, Rainn has needed to find a new form of income and, although he probably could have found a more honest way to survive, he is kind of a klepto. Yeah. It's a problem. Sometimes.
Lockpick - Over time, Rainn has become an amazing lockpick. His best time in picking a lock has been three seconds. He keeps five lockpicks on him at a time since he rarely breaks a pick and would find it pretty embarrassing he did. He has yet to come across a lock that he couldn't pick...eventually.
Swordplay - In all of his time alone, he has always had at least one friend with him: his trusted black blade. He isn't sure what it's made of, because it's a family heirloom. Despite being at least three generations old, it hasn't shown any signs of corrosion or dulling. Although Rainn hasn't been formally trained, he has taught himself and has been in plenty duels and is able to best at least the average swordsman.
Marksmanship - Rainn is not a dead eye and isn't the best bow in Tamriel by any means, but, he does have a bow and has had a couple lucky shots. He can hit things that aren't moving and if he catches someone by surprise, he can certainly be deadly. He carries a basic willow bow with around twenty steel arrows.
Equipment:
The Black Blade - He never is caught without his trusted family blade. It cuts through wood like butter and has taken many lives, although not by Rainn's dealing.
Hunter's Bow and Arrows - Just a common set of archery gear. If it isn't on his person, it's in one of his many stashes in Cyrodiil.
Synod Scroll - The scroll that got him kicked out of the Synod. Of course he wouldn't just let his time go to waste. He still can't read it and knows nothing about it but keeps it around for sentimental purposes.
Silver Ring - An engraved ring from Gabriella. He wears it all the time.
Cirque Flyer - A flyer that advertised the Cirque.

Personality Summary: Rainn is a sarcastic, smart talking fellow that acts like he knows more than he actually does. He is more likely to make a joke than act serious but he does have intermingled abandonment issues that takes a little digging to see. He is a liar and a deceiver towards people he doesn't know, or he's a womanizer, and yes, sometimes he can't decide. He is less inclined to worship anything or anyone, whether it be Daedra or Aedra and may make inappropriate jokes about someone that has different beliefs than he.

History:
Cheydinhal
Rainn's earliest memories were of Cheydinhal. Memories of his father and mother are hazy, but he does remember it being a very happy time. He isn't sure of what happened to them but he has been told that they drowned in the Niben Bay. Their carriage tipped over and fell into the waters during a harsh storm as they were taking a trip to Leyawinn for business. They were crushed by the carriage and unable to break through before they lost air.
After he was found without a family, Cheydinhal became a very different place for him. Although he was taken in by another family in the city, he could only look upon them with animosity and hatred. They couldn't replace what he'd lost. Once he was old and angsty enough, he decided to run away, vowing that he would never return.
The Synod
Although Rainn will claim that he decided to go to the Synod to hone his abilities in magic, study the mysteries and secrets that the institution might know and just get some awesome free magicky stuff, Rainn truly needed some security and guidance in his young age and thought that he couldn't get it from the people in Cheydinhal.
His abilities were quickly recognized by the senior wizards and his studies began with great anticipation. His destruction magic and illusion magic improved amazingly quickly but he didn't receive the love that he needed from his peers or senior wizards and soon found himself hating the Synod as well. Still, he was happy to at least be learning and content with where he was.
Soon, however, Rainn's slake for curiosity got the best of him and he had slunk into the Synod's library and broke into the council's private collection, hoping to find out about the secrets that they hid. Sadly, the only tome he could come across was in a different language before he was caught and quickly exiled out of the magical society.
Imperial City
Without a home and without a direction to turn to, Rainn decided to head to where dreams came true: the Imperial City. There he worked with the local staff merchant for about a day before making connections with the Thieves Guild. Since the city was still recovering from the Great War, the city was now a center of some of the richest and most powerful individuals in Tamriel as they were trying to revive the Empire. With many guards working to rebuild the city, silent thefts were easier than ever. To Rainn, he had found paradise!
Quickly, he moved up the ranks and even worked with the Gray Fox on some awesome high profile cases. He was one of the Fox's favorite thieves but soon a new craze rolled through town. The Cirque is a new phenomenon that gathered some of the most fantastically talented and unbelievable feats from all around Nirn for a special one night show! Rainn went to see the show and set eyes on Gabriella, the contortionist.
The Cirque
Rainn isn't sure what first drew him to Gabriella, whether it was the miraculous forms she could show or the incredible colors and dyes that the Cirque introduced, but the girl entranced him. He cornered her and convinced a date out of her. She was unique and unlike any other woman he'd ever met. They spent the night together, having dinner looking over Lake Rumare, throwing apples at the city guards from the top of the city walls and falling asleep pointing out the different formations of the stars.
When morning came, Gabriella told Rainn that the Cirque was leaving and that she wanted him to come with her. Rainn, however demanded that she stayed with him even though he didn't have a home for them to stay or a stable job. Arguments broke out and Rainn left her in anger...he didn't even see her off, and he hasn't seen her since.
It has been a year since that day and since then, Rainn has broken ties with the Thieves Guild and has been doing freelance jobs at his own discretion. He is one of the most high profile thieves in Cyrodiil and has even built up his own reputation as 'Cyrodiil's Snake', or simply, 'The Snake'. He still harbors feelings for Gabriella but understands that she is nations away and might not even be on the same continent anymore. There's no reason why he can't live it up for himself and have an adventure or two.
